So here’s how the story goes. This happened about 4 months ago, in maybe October.
I had fed my dogs on the porch, and was watching them through the glass window on the front door. We live on almost an acre in Texas, and the porch is huge and walled up, and filled with porch lights to see everything.
Suddenly as I’m looking at my dog, I notice this large, maybe looks to be about 17-22 pound “cat”. It’s all completely black. With a face I can’t make out. It has a long tail like a cat, but no ears. But the body is that of a cat. I am staring at it like whose cat is this? And why aren’t my dogs freaking out as if they know them?
The cat starts walking around and smelling around. I’m starting at it for approximately 10-12 seconds, which is a long time to see it be physically real, moving, etc. I’m staring wondering still where it’s from, when I start to notice.. it isn’t a cat. It doesn’t “move” like a cat. It literally moved like a demon. Like crawling around. But in the trying to be stoic cat sense. It had no face, no cute nose, no whiskers. I’m not even making this shit up at ALL, like this literally happened and I told my whole family about it and couldn’t wrap my head around it because this is what happens next.
As I’m deciding to open the door and see if I can get to them, I’m watching it in the glass window, and it just fades away. It literally just faded away. Like slowly like a side to wide fade. First the head, the neck. The arms and the stomach and the legs and the tail. All just faded.
I immediately swung open the door to see if it “by chance” had backed up and disappeared even though I was seeing completely around it and there was nothing it could go into. It was gone like it never existed.
A few minutes later after I go to immediately freak out rant to my brothers roommmate, I go back to the window to see my other dog, my German Shepard completely blood hound nose pointed out into the darkness off the side of the porch that’s not walled in but you can walk through in and out off to the porch or into the rest of the yard. She’s just staring out into the darkness. And she’s a BARKER. A bird, a person, a squirrel, etc. she will go and just go towards it. She’s 8 for context and is a huge home protector. But this time she just stared. I still never knew what exactly it was, except maybe a fairy or demon or some animal spirit, in the form of an animal. I think the fact that it was all black, walked weird and was definitely not a real life animal really spoked me out. Google showed up different stories of seeing black spirit animals but it was metaphysical folklore, nothing actually from a persons story. I see we’re up right now and I figured I’d share my story to see if we can get any other weird or creepy stories aswell in here to keep it going on. Also happy leap day it just ended 13 minutes ago.
